*fans self*

We're in the middle of a mini heatwave at the moment. So, of course, this being England, everyone's gone from complaining about how cold it is for June to complaining about how hot it is. Whatever, weather like this actually makes me feel happy I'm currently unemployed.

Still, it's the Glastonbury festival this weekend so we're bound to get some rain soon.

Burrd

There was a real live starling in the garden today! This may not seem very exciting but in the five years I've lived here I have never once seen one anywhere near our house.

Actually the garden is full of birds at the moment, there are baby blue tits and great tits everywhere and the robins keep trying to get into the kitchen, under the misguided belief that that's where I keep the mealworms. Also the wood pigeons attempt to mate periodically on the fence in a flurry of feathers and poor balance.
