Various icons that have been sat on my hard drive, nominally as works in progress, about which the "progress" aspect has become wildly inaccurate

Five icons from this year's The Island, a raging himbo of a film, gorgeous to look at but rather dim, leaving some intriguing moral questions unexplored and giving off some rather mixed messages about the sanctity of life - sci-fi as purely spectacle. Nevertheless, I kinda liked it.

Ten icons from In the Cut, Jane Campion's most recent film, a serial-killer story told not from the point of view of the detective but of a woman he strikes up an intense relationship with. It's billed as an erotic thriller, although there's more to it than that, but mostly, despite its sometimes horrific subject matter, it's just a very beautiful film. The icons only cover about the first twenty minutes, as I'm slow at screencapping and the DVD had to go back to the rental shop.
